A tighter, more technical test than the open trails — rock steps, off-camber sandstone ledges and tyre-eating climbs laid out as a timed course for riders who already know their way around a bike. Marshals are posted at every hazard section and the course is walked before anyone rides it. Not a beginner activity — this is where clubman and expert riders come to find their limit.
